The Avalon Hill cooperative board game Diplomacy is a game of negotiating, using cunning and trickery, and using your wits. Your empire will develop throughout Europe in the years before World War I if you successfully negotiate agreements and forge alliances. In order to achieve dominion over the continent, you will need to create and break agreements, uncover betrayal plans, bargain, and outsmart others. You will need to guard your back at all times. It is a game of strategy in which the result is not determined by chance but rather by the ingenuity and skill of the players themselves, rather than by the roll of the dice. Those individuals who have a passion for multi-player strategy games, European political games, and cooperative board games will find it to be an excellent option. For two to seven players, aged 12 and above, and the game itself may take up to six hours to complete.
